It's that special time of year again when we come together to honor the rich traditions and vibrant artistry of Día de Muertos. Whether you're a seasoned participant or joining us for the first time, we invite you to showcase your creativity and reverence through a beautiful altar.

📅 Contest Details

• Start Date: October 3rd, 2026

• End Date: November 2nd, 2026, at midnight

• Winners Announced: November 9th, 2026

•  After we receive all altar photos, we'll present them to the artisans, who will choose three winners.

• Your altar must be an original creation made by you, your household, or your participating team. By entering, you confirm that you personally participated in creating and arranging the altar shown in your submission. Altars created entirely by schools, museums, businesses, organizations, or other individuals are not eligible unless you were directly involved in creating the altar. The Catrina Shop reserves the right to request additional photos or information to verify an entry. Entries that cannot be verified may be disqualified.

🏆 How It Works:

Our talented artisans will judge the altars and select the top three that best capture the spirit of Day of the Dead. The winners will each receive a stunning Catrina, a symbol of Mexican culture and artistic heritage.

3. Submit your entry by sharing a photo of your altar on Instagram by midnight, November 2nd.
